I got this recipe from @marthastewart a decade ago and it’s still my favorite way to do taco’s, tostada’s, etc. I added a very old video (archived from my stories) of a demo I did on this recipe. Posting it here.... not the greatest quality video- but the taco filling is ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป!

INGREDIENTS:
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup water (or 1 cup water if you drain the fat from the beef)
2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

DIRECTIONS:
In a large frying pan over medium heat, cook the ground beef, stirring and constantly breaking apart the beef. When the meat is mostly cooked through, add the onions and bell peppers and continue cooking, stirring constantly until vegetables are soft and meat is cooked through. Add garlic and cook for another minute. Add the water, tomato paste and seasonings. stir to combine and reduce heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes. Pile on top of tortillas or taco shells and garnish with lettuce, sour cream, avocado, and cilantro. Enjoy!
