Fish and Chips

Fish and Chips - Let’s call this “Fish and Chips” but AIR FRIED BBQ CAULIFLOWER (chips) with LEMON GARLIC COD instead. Plus a lightened up Tartar Sauce, because what’s fish and chips without it 🙃 Happy AUGUST loves! I cannot believe August is here, but as I mentioned yesterday it is my favorite month. I’m looking forward to this month, and my intention is to slow down and enjoy the end of the summer since I have a busy fall ahead of me. What’s your intention this month?

1️⃣ Lemon Garlic Cod: dry off the fish (@wildalaskancompany) with paper towel, season with salt/pepper, the brush the cod on both sides with a mixture of 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 2 teaspoons coconut aminos, 1 minced garlic clove and 1 teaspoon of lemon zest (this should be enough to brush one pound of fish). Then spray with oil (I used coconut). You can bake this (7-8 mins on 425) or air fry it (10 mins at 400 then flip for another 7). 2️⃣ Cauliflower: 1/2 head of cauliflower cut into florets. Dip the florets in a whisked egg or egg white (I find that egg white works well in the air fryer) then dip in a mixture of 2 tablespoons of Either garbanzo bean flour or cassava flour (or flour of your choice but I recommend not using coconut for this), 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Spray the cauliflower with oil (I used coconut) and air fry at 375 for about 12 minutes, remove and toss in a mixture of 1/3 cup bbq sauce (I used @primalkitchenfoods no sugar) mixed with 2 tablespoons of coconut aminos. Place back in air fryer for about 5-7 minutes.
3️⃣ Tartar sauce: 3 tablespoons yogurt (any unsweetened works), 1 tablespoon organic mayo, 1 tablespoon relish (I used @woodstockfoods) and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.
