INGREDIENTS:
*2 pounds dry pinto beans
*1 onion, chopped
*4 cloves garlic, minced
*1 Tablespoon cumin
*1 teaspoon pepper
*1 1/2 Tablespoons salt
*10 cups warm water

DIRECTIONS:
1. Rinse beans
2. Put the beans in the crockpot with the water. Remove any floating beans.
3. Add the onion, garlic, and seasonings
4. Put the lid on the crockpot and cook on high for 4 hours, then on low for 2 hours.
5. If you want them mashed/refried, take a potato masher and go to town.

You can convert this to an #instantpot method by cooking on manual/high pressure for 35 minutes, same ingredients but 8 cups of water instead of 10.
